Description

Tankah is a Mayan word that means “the center of the town”, it was given as a name to the settlement found northeast of the city of Tulum, near the Mayan Ruins.
The occupation of the coastal area dates from 100 A.C. and continued during its splendor in the postclassic era. The structures discovered on the northern side of the archaeological site had mostly residential use, perfect for community living.
